"Dancing Azul" was inspired by the joyful times spent playing in the sea with my daughter during family holidays abroad. I wanted to capture the essence of the ocean's playful waves and the cherished memories of our time together.
The mosaic features a dynamic array of curves and curls in blue hues, arranged to mimic the fluid motion of the sea. Intricate patterns and swirls evoke the playfulness and lively nature of the waves, bringing a sense of movement and energy to the piece.
 
Much of the glass is translucent allowing the sun to shine through from behind creating a glow. There are also areas of reflective glass that catch the sunlight, creating a sparkling effect reminiscent of the sun dancing on the water's surface and accents of white, representing the frothy surf, completing the coastal theme. These elements together add a touch of magic, drawing viewers in and inviting them to experience the joy and freedom of the sea.
"Dancing Azul" is a celebration of family, nature, and the simple pleasures of life. It will transform any garden, forming an impressive focal point for everyone to enjoy.
