These delightful orange stripy bumble bees  look very at home in the garden and enhance any flower border.

I hand craft all of my glass mosaics using frost proof materials, making each one a unique piece of art that can be enjoyed in the garden all year round.

Price is for each bee and does not include delivery cost.

Approx size: 22cmx19cm.
Mounted onto a 1m/125m/1.50m metal pole which will rust naturally to give a rustic feel. Can face right or left.

Light will reflect from the mirrored  glass pieces used for the wings and head and through the translucent glass used for the orange stripes, giving you stunning colours throughout the day and across the seasons, as the light changes.
The hand cut  mix of flat and patterned high quality sheet glass, as as well as the glass nuggets and glass tiles, give the piece a variety of interesting textures and maximise the light reflection.

Three bees will be part of the Pensthorpe sculpture trail, Norfolk, this summer. Click here for more details. They can be viewed or collected after the exhibition, by arrangement from Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Norfolk or from my studio in Swindon, Wiltshire. Please Contact me if you would like to discuss collection or to request a delivey cost.

Bees can also be made to order in other colours, designs and sizes. Click here.

  • The glass has been hand cut, the edges smoothed and then silicone glued onto a Perspex base. Once dried, I then grout using exterior grade grout, which really make the colours pop! All the materials I use are frost proof and weather resistant, so your piece is ready to display outside in your garden and can stay out all year round. Just be mindful, that in high winds, it is best placed somewhere sheltered.

As with any item made from glass, please be careful when handling. There may be sharp edges to some of the glass, so please keep out of reach of small children. You can clean the glass, if needed, using water and a little washing up liquid, with a sponge or soft cloth.
